This week we are crossing the Rhône to visit a gourmet restaurant in Ardèche: The Vivarais 1 *
Located in the tourist town of Vals les Bains, well known for its thermal baths, the Vivarais offers a gastronomic getaway worthy of the biggest names.
It was in 2007 that the Chef Stephane Polly takes orders from the restaurant The Vivarais. There, he perfectly declines the products of Ardèche terroir by offering creative and light cuisine.
Stephane Polly was born "crazy", his father owned his own restaurant and he opened his eyes to the world, in the kitchen. In 2015, the restaurant obtained its first star in the Michelin Guide. The latter is for him the means of paying homage to him.
The Michelin badge is a reward attributed to its know-how but also recognition for local producers.
Beautiful, Good and Respectful are the 3 words that define his cuisine inspired by colors, seasons and encounters.
Frogs from the Drôme, Saffron from Ardèche, Local cheeses, wild garlic… The Chef's creations are rich in authenticity.
Today the restaurant of Chef Stephane Polly is one of the most renowned in the department, a real benchmark in the south of the Ardèche.
Working in a gourmet kitchen is sometimes more than 15 p.m. standing non-stop! Needless to say, the job of a cook is sport. These long, incessant back-and-forths throughout the day are quickly synonymous with heavy legs, back pain, etc. To alleviate this fatigue, the first criterion of comfort goes through the shoe. And for good reason, it is our feet that carry us!
It is essential to have good shoes to relieve these discomforts and to be able to concentrate on your job. The Chef Stéphane Polly is convinced of it!
With his team, they tested several models of the range:
Run Classic black, Giulio, Black dan et Camouflage Brice were chosen to be tested by the Chef Stephane Polly.
The 4 models were put in real use situation with all the possible problems that members of a brigade may encounter in a gourmet restaurant.
Non-slip, comfort, ventilation are the 3 main characteristics that the team demanded Vivarais 1 *.
Result:
The brigade of Chef Stephane Polly was won over by the Nord'Ways kitchen shoe models with a preference for the Dan and the Giulio.
These 2 models are complementary: the Dan when you are in the kitchen and the Giulio to go and see customers directly in the dining room.
Delighted with this first partnership, the Chef will be an integral part of the project Chef's shoes and will be able to test the prototypes under development.
